Holiday for children with HIV: Our visit
On the 5 th of May the chairman and his oldest son have visited San Camilo’s Home. They were guided by Milagros Jeri who was a volunteer a few years ago. In 2003 she was the driving force behind the organisation of the holiday trip.

During this visit there were many pregnant and infected mothers, but also mothers with children. It was impressive to hear the stories and to see how motivated Father Zeffirino, the staff and the volunteers are in helping the patients. We felt it very encouraging to hear that unborn kids from pregnant and infected mothers can be born non-infected by the right support and medical treatment. Except for medical treatment and the right food, this shelter is very focussed to support these patients in living normal lives as much as possible. They organise activities to support this and the holiday trip for the children with HIV was a beautiful example of this.

It quickly became clear to us that this committed team is doing an excellent job in helping adults and children with HIV. They are worth our support without doubt.

Thanks to Milagros, Father Zeffirino, Gregorio and all other people of Camilo’s Home we have experienced a heartily and impressive visit, for which we want to thank them!
