Holiday for children with HIV: How and why?
San Camilo’s Home is a shelter specialised in social and medical support to people infected with HIV and/or suffering from AIDS. Adults, children (and unborn kids via their pregnant and infected mothers) are welcome. Camilo’s Home has an understanding of each specific situation of a family in which the patient makes part of. They try to involve each family member in order to minimise the risk of further infection as much as possible.

By far, there is a lack of money for enough medicines. Father Zeffirino works with great passion to increase funds. Unfortunately, there is no constant cash flow and as a result of this, necessary treatments can not be offered always.

Camilo’s Home has got a fine functioning visiting service. On a daily basis, two cars with doctors and nurses visit the slum areas to treat and nurse the patients who can not go the   central shelter.

The team of Camilo’s Home is very committed to get more understanding of people not to be afraid of people who are infected, but to help them to be respected and accepted in their community.
