Streetkids in Ecuador: Project
We are very satisfied about our project for streetkids in Lima. Within a short timeframe it appeared to be possible to reach a relatively large group of these children and to get them out of their vicious circle of life. We started to offer them education, better health services and more balanced food. Of course, also this project encountered obstacles, but the first results are there! Within little bit more than 6 months this project has proven to be self sustaining from an organizational and a financial point of view.

Essential for this success was the excellent cooperation with the Bruce Peru Organisation. Together we have decided to roll-out our project in Ecuador as well. Financial support is urgently needed as the funds are not yet available and must be secured first!

A detailed project description can be read by clicking on the PDF file (click here). If you can not open the PDF file, you can download necessary software by clicking on www.adobe.com.

We will regularly report about the progress of this project. You can support us with this project. How…… go to the tab support/your support.

Our friends, Gonzalo and Maria Teresa's existing work, using international volunteers to aid existing schools to educate poor children in rural Ecuador is working reasonable well, but does not target children who are unable to get an education.

In Ecuador there is no project such as ours (Bruce Peru/KinderZon) for educating children too poor, abandoned or abused to be able to attend school. This information is provided to us by staff of the Social Services Ministry in Quito, and by the Municipal Social Services Departments in the cities we surveyed.
